How does API Bridge work?

  • The API Bridge works on the basis of “signals”.
  • The signals basically give signs to buy or sell depending upon the conditions set. The bridge forms 4 types of signals. They are: –
  • Long Entry (LE): Which corresponds to a new buy for making a long position.
  • Long Exit (LX): Which corresponds to sell for decreasing/squaring off long position.
  • Short Entry (SE): Which corresponds to a new buy for making a short position.
  • Short Exit (SX): Which corresponds to sell for decreasing/squaring off the short position.

For giving orders, the API Bridge requires values either from signals or from the Symbol Settings Window. Any qualities given in the Symbol Settings Window nullifies the Signal qualities.

The Sequence of Signal Handling:

  • Initially, a signal is received in the Bridge.
  • After that, qualities from the Symbol Settings Window are taken by coordinating the image given in Signal with the “Input Symbol”.
  • Next, Signal Setting rules are applied from Application Settings to Signal Settings.
  • Once this is done, Risk Management rules are applied from Application Settings to Global Risk Management.
  • Finally, the request is sent to the API.
